Did you know...

Watermelon is 95% water but also bursting with vitamins and minerals? Watermelon contains vitamin C, potassium and iron, among other things. In addition, watermelon has a diuretic effect. It satiates you and contains very few calories, which makes it a super healthy summer fruit!

This is what you need for a watermelon smoothie

For 1 serving

  • 2 cups of watermelon cubes
  • 5 ice cubes
  • ¾ cup coconut water
  • 25 grams powdered protein
  • Mint leaves

What else do you need?

  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Blender
  • Glass
  • Straw and umbrella for a summer look

How to make this recipe

  1. Cut the watermelon into pieces and chop the mint leaves finely.
  2. Add the fruit and mint to the blender. Pour in the coconut water and 25 grams of Pure Whey Protein.
  3. Blend all ingredients into a smooth mixture.
  4. Pour the smoothie into a glass with ice cubes. Serve with a wedge of watermelon on the rim and you’re done!

Tip from our dietician Solenne

Are you already using smoothies for your daily dose of protein? Smart, but then you would prefer not to have a pronounced flavor to your protein powder. Add a protein that is available plain, so you won’t taste anything and you can easily add it to any smoothie!
