Intake tips

  • Do not take the capsule or chewable tablet on an empty stomach, but during or right after your lunch or dinner. Before bedtime is also possible. If you have food in your stomach, the chance of nausea after taking a multivitamin is lower.
  • The easiest way to swallow the capsule is with a sip of water or sugar-free drink.
  • Move your chin towards your chest and not backward while swallowing the capsule.
  • Is the multivitamin too big to swallow? Open the capsule and take the contents (powder). You can mix the powder with sugar-free applesauce or other sugar-free liquid foods. We recommend sugar-free foods because you may not be able to tolerate sugar and sugary foods after weight loss surgery.
  • Do you also use dairy products or calcium supplements? Do not take them at the same time as the multivitamin. Make sure that there is a minimum of 2 hours between taking the multivitamin and calcium supplements/dairy products.
  • Bonus tip: set a daily reminder on your phone. It will help you stay on track with your multivitamin intake.
