Making Healthy Sauce

A delicious creamy sauce completes a dish. But unfortunately, most sauces are high in fat and calories. Luckily, there is an answer. Prepare the sauce yourself! Just as tasty, but much healthier and nicer on your stomach. Delicious with meat or add-on to a barbecue.

Tzatziki

  • 100 grams of low-fat Greek yogurt
  • ½ cucumber
  • ½ clove of garlic
  • pepper and salt
  • ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • fresh mint

How to make Tzatziki

Finely chop a few leaves of fresh mint. Scoop the yogurt into a bowl. Grate the cucumber over the yogurt and ½ clove of garlic. Add pepper, salt, olive oil and fresh mint. Stir well, taste and your tzatziki sauce is ready!

Salsa

  • 2 tomatoes
  • ¼ red onion*
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/5 clove of garlic
  • dash of lime or lemon juice

How to make Salsa Sauce

Chop the tomatoes as small as possible. Add them to a bowl. Chop the onion and grate the garlic clove. Add lime or lemon juice and olive oil and mix well. For a bite, use a little pepper. And your delicious, fresh salsa is ready!

* After weight-loss surgery, it may happen that you do not tolerate onion well. Leave out the onion if this applies to you.
