Chocolate Coffee Mousse Recipe

You'll need

For 2 servings

  • 40 grams of dark chocolate (72% of 80%)
  • ½ cup of coffee (espresso)
  • 1 tablespoon of hot water
  • 2 eggs
  • 25 grams of Pure Whey Protein Vanilla
  • a few raspberries
  • hinch of salt


What else you'll need

How to make the recipe

  1. Melt the chocolate by placing a heatproof bowl on a pan of boiling water. Be sure the bowl is not in contact to the water.
  2. Allow the melted chocolate to cool.
  3. Make a cup of coffee and mix half with a tablespoon of hot water.
  4. Split the egg yolks and egg whites. In a bowl, whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt and Pure Whey Protein Vanilla to a stiff substance.
  5. In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks with coffee to a light mixture. Add the cooled chocolate and stir in.
  6. Next, add the egg whites with Pure Whey Protein little by little and gently swirl in. Do not whisk too hard.
  7. Pour the mixture into 2 glasses and let it set in the fridge for about 2 hours.
  8. Serve the chocolate coffee mousse with a few raspberries on top. And your guilt-free dessert is ready!

After bariatric surgery, it is better not to drink too much coffee. Coffee is made by using carbon dioxide, which can cause stomach problems. We recommend no more than ½ cup of coffee a day.
