Colorful Spinach Salad with Red Fruit

Fruit and salads? As far as we are concerned, a great combination. Especially in the summer months when fruit is fresh and juicy. This raw spinach salad with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries is therefore absolutely favorite. Healthy thanks to a range of vitamins and minerals. Rich in taste and a colorful eye-catcher. Honestly, doesn't this salad look irresistible?

That spinach is super healthy? This green leafy vegetable is rich in vitamins and minerals including potassium, iron, magnesium, calcium and vitamin A. You can cook spinach, add it to a stir-fry or eat it raw as a salad. Always choose fresh spinach, possibly from the freezer. Leave processed varieties such as spinach á la crème.

What you'll need

For 2 servings

  • fresh or baby spinach
  • 100 grams of strawberries in pieces
  • handful of blueberries
  • handful of raspberries
  • ½ red onion in rings*
  • handful of pecans or walnuts (unroasted and unsalted)
  • vinaigrette, olive oil
  • salt and pepper


*After weight-loss surgery, it may happen that your intestines do not tolerate onion well. If necessary, leave out the onion if this applies to you.

How to make Spinach Salad with Red Fruit

  1. Place the spinach on plates or finely chop the leaves.
  2. Cut the strawberries into small pieces and the red onion into rings.
  3. Coarsely chop the nuts.
  4. Divide the fruit, onion and crushed nuts over the spinach.Drizzle some olive oil and vinagrette over the salad. Add salt and pepper to your taste. Enjoy!

Pecans and walnuts are full of flavor. That's why they go so well with a fruity salad. For even more flavor, roast the nuts briefly without oil in a pan or oven.
